MIFFLIN GUARD MEMBERSHIP Guidelines

THE FOLLOWING RULES APPLY TO THE MIFFLIN GUARD:
1. INDIVIDUAL GUARD UNIT POLICIES ARE INVIOLATE IN SO FAR AS THEY DO NOT CONFLICT WITH MIFFLIN GUARD POLICIES OR HISTORY.
2. A UNIT APPLYING FORMEMBERSHIP MUST BE SPONSORED BY A CURRENT MIFFLIN GUARD UNIT FORAPROBATIONARY PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR AND THEN ACCEPTANCE IS VOTED ON BY THE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP.
3. A UNIT MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF TWELVE Military MEMBERS AND A MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR ACTIVE OBSERVED FILED SERVICE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR MEMBERSHIP.
4. NO SPLlNTER OR BREAKAWAYUNITS FROM THE MIFFLIN UNITS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR MEMBERSHIP.
5. NO SATELLITE UNITS NOT MEMBERS OF THE INVITED UNIT WILL BE CONSIDERED EXCEPT AS ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AS PER ARTICLES 2.3 &4.
6. INDIVIDUAL UNIT MEMBERS MAY NOT BE ALLOWED TO SHIFT FROM UNIT TO UNIT. EXCEPTIONAL CASES WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.
7. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS SHALL CONSIST OF THREE UNIT MEMBERS OF THE INDIVIDUAL MIFFLIN GUARD UNIT AS DETERMINED BY THE MEMBERSHIP OF THAT UNIT.
8. THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SHALL DETERMINE POLICY FOR THE MIFFLIN GUARD AND REPORT TO THE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP ONCE A YEAR.
9. FIELD AND STAFF RANK WILL BE ESTABLISHED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AND WILL BE ON AN AS NEEDED ROTATING BASIS.
10. RANK FOR THE INDIVIDUAL MIFFLIN GUARD UNITS IS DETERMINED BY UNITS THEMSELVES.
11. MALE MEMBERS WILL PARTICIPATE AS SOLDIERS OR CIVILIANS. FEMALE MEMBERS WILL PARTICIPATE AS CIVILIANS, NURSES OR VIVANDIERS.
