All things not military...well, mostly not military.

Our Civilian camp life in the Mifflin Guard is growing and improving every year. Families are welcome here, as well as male or female individuals who wish to portray mid-19th Century civlian life during the American Civil War. First person impressions are strongly encouraged, requiring prerequisite research and historical accuracy. Besides the staple fashion shows, dances, and teas, some of the activities that Mifflin Guard Civilians have sponsored or participated in include: camp laundresess, a "blab"school for children, phrenology, temperance rallies, corn huskings, political rallies, debates, storytelling, Sanitary Fairs, spiritualist scenarios, CW yard sales, quilting bees, letter writing, Revivals, sings, cooking demonstrations, and much more.
